T.T.C. DRAWS OUT MOISTURE FASTER LEAVING HIDES LIGHTER AND LESS MESSY THAN SALT (SALT ALONE HOLDS IN MOISTURE & MAKES FOR A MESSY TRANSPORT)
IT TAKES 4-5 TIMES MORE SALT THAN T.T.C.
Whether hunting in hot dry seasons to extreme wet seasons, T.T.C. is all you need to preserve your hides so you can get them to your taxidermist in good condition.
T.T.C. is a must for pack-in hunting trips. T.T.C. is the perfect product for outfitters and hunters when weight is a factor. To preserve a hide, it takes 4-5 times more salt than T.T.C.. An example would be:
1 quart T.T.C. (2.6 lb..) used on a caribou hide vs 12 lbs of salt
1/2 gallon T.T.C. (4.12 lb..) used on a moose hide vs. 22 lbs. of salt
Note From Professional Taxidermist: "I have used this mixture in my business for the last 25 years with great success. T.T.C. has saved many hides that I thought were going to be a lost cause. They would have been ruined if I had used salt only. It just takes a light sprinkle of T.T.C. compared to about a 1/4 inch of salt."
