It might be small, but it’s a bull elk that I took with a bow on September 15th 2001.
It all started about 4:00 in the evening, I was headed to my tree stand that I had set up at a wallow back in August. I walked about 400 yards above the wallow and applied BringM’ In Elk lure (cow sex appeal) to the soles of my boots. I then walked back down to the tree stand leaving a trail of the scent near the wallow.
Around 6:00 I heard the elk running down the same trail that I had walked in on. He jumped the log that I had climbed over earlier and stood facing the cow decoy that I had set up. The decoy also had cow sex appeal on it. As he stared at her, he began throwing his head up and sniffing the air and then throwing it back down and then quickly up again. He did this several times and then started pawing the ground. He then turned to walk into the wallow, I made my shot. He was 20 yards away and bolted as soon as I shot. I immediately bugled and he made a quick circle and came back. He died about 15 yards from where he was shot.

| As of that day this was the fourth bull that had come to the decoy with Bring'M In sex appeal on it. Cow with sex appeal works pre-rut and during. I believe this is better than cow in heat because it works all season.
During the same season my son used cow and bull with an attractant and had two spikes, a 5 point, and a 4 point bull come to the smell. |
